Notice is hereby given in terms of Rule 276(1)(b) of the Rules of the National Assembly that the Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs intends to introduce the Independent Municipal Demarcation Authority Bill, 2022, in the National Assembly shortly.   2. The explanatory summary of the Bill is hereby published in accordance with Rule 276(1)(c) of the Rules of the National Assembly    The Bill provides for the establishment, functions and powers of the Independent Municipal Demarcation Authority. The Bill furthermore provides for the criteria and procedures for determination or redetermination of municipal boundaries and for the delimitation of wards. Provision is also made for the establishment of the Demarcation Appeals Authority and for the conducting of municipal capacity   assessments.   3.
