 STAATSKOERANT, 4 JULIE 2025 No. 52939 23 FINANCIAL SECTOR CONDUCT AUTHORITY NO. 6386 4 July 2025 VARIOUS RETIREMENT FUNDS (IN LIQUIDATION) NOTICE OF GENERAL MEETINGS OF ALL MEMBERS AND BENFICIARIES 25 July 2025 Messrs PWM Reynolds, K Wolhuter, JDW Wolmarans, J De Klerk, CA Scott, S Bouah and Ms J Flagg s appointments as liquidators to the funds was approved by the then Registrar of Pension Funds in terms of section 28(2) of the Pension Funds Act, 1956 (Act No. 24 of 1956) (Pension Funds Act). Messrs Reynolds, Wolhuter, Wolmarans, De Klerk, Scott, Bouah and Ms Flagg could not finalise their liquidations due to various reasons (emigrated, passed away, etc). As they have not finalised the liquidation of the funds to which they were appointed liquidators for, it is necessary for replacement liquidators to be appointed. In terms of section 28(13) of the Pension Funds Act read with section 377 of the Companies Act, 1973, the Financial Sector Conduct Authority has instructed a meeting of the members and beneficiaries of the fund, for the purpose of the nomination and appointment of a replacement liquidator. The replacement liquidator will be tasked with bringing the fund s affairs to finality. The meeting will be held remotely, using the Microsoft Teams meeting platform and members and beneficiaries that don t have the facility will be given an opportunity to vote beforehand. This meeting will be facilitated by the fund administrator, Liberty Group Limited and be chaired by the FSCA. Invitations to the meeting will be sent out by the meeting co-ordinator, Ms Cornel Jacobs. Members are requested to produce their identity document and proof of membership for identification purpose. The meeting will take place from 9am South African time on 25 July 2025.
