Notice is hereby given in terms of Rule 276(1)(b) of the Rules of the National Assembly that the Minister of Police intends to introduce the Criminal Law (Forensic Procedures) Amendment Bill, 2021 (Bill), in the National Assembly shortly.   2. The explanatory summary of the Bill is hereby published in accordance with Rule 276(1)(c) of the Rules of the National Assembly.   3. The Bill aims to    (a) make a new provision in respect of the full implementation of certain transitional arrangements contained in the Criminal Law (Forensic Procedures) Amendment Act, 2013;   (b) provide for accounting responsibilities and reporting obligations in respect of the fulfillment of this new provision;   (c) provide for the enforcement of the obligation to submit to the taking of a buccal sample; and for matters connected therewith.
