Notice is hereby given in terms of Rule 276(1)(b) of the Rules of the National Assembly, that the Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities intends to introduce the National Youth Development Agency Amendment Bill of 2022, to Parliament.   2.1 The explanatory summary of the Bill is hereby published in accordance with Rule 276(1)(c) of the Rules of the National Assembly.   2.2 The National Youth Development Agency Amendment Bill, 2022, aims to strengthen the Agency s operations; enhance governance; and promote visibility for access of the National Youth Development Agency s ( the NYDA ) products and services especially for youths in rural areas who are unable to easily access the services of the NYDA. It further clarifies the mandate of the NYDA in relation to that of other key players within the youth development space. The proposed amendments strengthen the specific areas of interventions to deal with the challenges faced by youths; clarifies the political reporting lines of the entity and also proposes increasing the size of the NYDA Board from seven to 10 members.   3.
